Chiropractic Treatment For Plantar Fasciitis (Heel Pain) Surprise AZ

This is a condition characterized by intense burning pain in the bottom of the feet usually worse in the morning and better by evening. This issue is caused by a combination of two things:
1. The misalignment of the bones of the foot in a direction where there is no muscle or combination of muscles capable of correcting.
2. The improper design of modern footwear and the misinformation about shoe insert/orthotics.
The foot has an incredible design. It is created in such a way as to have three different arches much like a bridge would. This creates optimal flexibility, movement, and propulsion to allow us to move through space. But there is a major flaw in foot design. If we look at anatomy, all the muscles of the foot are on the bottom. We do not have any muscles on the top of the foot, only ligaments and supporting structures. This creates a serious problem for people. Because if the bones of the foot misalign downwards you do not have any muscles that can take those bones and pull them back up. This causes the foot to flatten causing pain and burning all day as the muscles of your foot are abnormally stretched.
The solution is to push the bones of the foot back up into their proper positions to re-establish the proper arch. But this will not completely fix the problem unless we address the second issue of shoe wear.
Many people have been misinformed about what proper shoe wear is. Most people are told that a good shoe must have big, bulky, arch supports in them. This could not be farther from the truth! Having big arch supports or orthotics in your shoes causes a multitude of issues. First, by constantly supporting your arches the muscles that oversee that become lazy and weak. That means that any time you take your shoes off the pain in the bottom of your foot returns and is only alleviated when you wear your arch supported shoes. You have become completely DEPENDENT upon your shoes to maintain your proper arches. The solution?
We must take those orthotics and arch supports out of your shoes/completely change your shoes to ones that have no arch supports/molded arches. We will then have to give you at home strengthening exercises to re-strengthen the muscles of your feet so they can hold the arches on their own. There are two other major issues with shoe design we need to address.
1. The heel is too high.
Having a heel that is too high causes several issues. One, it will put too much pressure on your toes and will cause metatarsalgia and degenerative joint disease. Two, it will put your body so far forward that it will make you lean back far causing low back/neck pain. Lastly, it will cause balance issues and make it easy to fall.
2. The toe box is too narrow.
Having a narrow toe box will create some major issues. The main issue is that it will causes bunions on the big toe and pinky toe. By squeezing the toes together, it forces the joint in your big and small toe to bulge out. These bulges will constantly rub against the inside of your shoe and cause large calluses to form along with the joint itself deteriorating over time. We need to get you into shoes with a large toe box designed to form to the shape of the foot.
