Low Back Pain Treatment in Surprise, AZ
Being one of the top reasons why Americans call in sick from work; low back pain is an epidemic in today’s world. Low back pain is costing the U.S hundreds of millions of dollars a year and has led us into the opioid epidemic. Many people are searching for a solution to their low back pain instead of treating its symptoms, and ABC™ chiropractic provides this.
Low back pain has several causes; investigating and identifying the different causes is essential in order to correct this problem in the long term. As with all conditions we talk about, there are multiple causes of this common problem.
- Issues corrected with ABC™ chiropractic technique.
- Issues corrected with functional nutrition.
If you will recall from our video on ABC technique, there are two main causes of spinal conditions like low back pain. The first, is that the bones of the spine get knocked forward and have no muscle or combination of muscles capable of pulling it back into place. That is why we will be moving bones of the spine backwards instead of forwards. Regular style chiropractic pushes bones forward which will never be able to correct the problem, only treat the symptoms. Second, you body builds a thick scar tissue within the spine that binds it together. It is the combination of these two things that ends up creating the symptoms you are experiencing.
This will translate into having the stereotypical poor posture that we see in most people. Slouched upper back, head forward, shoulders rolled, chest collapsed, etc etc. You can now see why pushing people more forward like regular style chiropractic doesn’t make any sense.
Sometimes low back pain will have a different cause. Many times, low functioning kidneys can mimic mechanical low back pain. We can identify your functional kidney status utilizing our functional nutrition analysis. If we find the kidneys to be lacking functionally, we will give your body the targeted nutrients it needs to heal, detoxify, and function properly.
Lastly, we will need to counsel you on the three major mistakes people make that creates worse lower back pain.
- Improper shoes.
- Improper pillows.
- Improper chairs/couches/car seats.
These three technologies are designed very poorly because they aren’t designed with the forward issue in mind. When it comes to shoes they are designed with many flaws. The heel is too high, the toe box is too narrow, and they have arch supports. These three things cause the body to be thrown forward, createing balance issues, and weakening the muscles of the feet. What you then create are bunions, flat feet, plantar fasciitis, low back pain, neck pain, and so much more.
Pillows are designed with a static height, or a poorly adjustable height. This leaves most people using a pillow either too high or too low. This causes neck pain, numbness tingling, and middle/lower back pain. With ABC™ we have designed a pillow with customizable height so that every individual gets the exact height that they need.
Chairs, couches, and car seats are designed improperly for the low back. They put the knees far above the hips which causes your lumbar curve to reverse while you sit. This will pull the bones in your lower back forward and cause mechanical low back pain. We need to modify these for you so that your knees are at the same level or lower than your hips.
